Education: Doctor of Medicine, Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine, Doctor of Nursing, Masters of Science in Nursing, or Master of Physician Assistant Studies
Licensure: State and board certification in Psychiatry or Integrative Medicine
Training: Training and/or experience in ketamine prescribing, psychedelic therapy, integrative medicine, and/or functional medicine strongly preferred
POSITION OVERVIEW
We are looking to hire a physician, physician assistant, or psychiatric nurse practitioner to evaluate medical and psychiatric conditions and develop and implement treatment plans, including prescription of psychotropic medications, lifestyle recommendations, therapy as needed, referrals to other practitioners, and evaluation of treatment results. This will include performing initial evaluation for our ketamine assisted therapy (KAT) program and may include conducting KAT sessions, if appropriate given the practitioner's level of training.
The clinic’s areas of specialization include psychedelic therapy and integrative care. We are seeking to hire a clinician interested in the field of psychedelic medicine who has experience with, training in, or a desire to learn about ketamine-assisted therapy. We are also seeking candidates with an interest and/or background in integrative health and functional medicine, with an ability to order and interpret lab tests and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
At Sage we take a trauma-informed approach to treatment and hope to hire a practitioner who is experienced with and knowledgeable about working with PTSD, both complex and acute. The team at Sage is thoughtful around communication and group dynamics and we seek to hire someone who is also committed to a conscious relational approach to teamwork.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
HOURS & COMPENSATION: Compensation will be negotiated based on education and level of experience. While it may take time to build up a caseload, we are ideally seeking someone who can eventually commit to a total of at least 12 clinical hours (approx 2 days) per week.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: The position requires occasional sitting, standing, and walking. Frequent use of computer and phone. Lifting is required occasionally, of no more than 20 lbs. at a time.
ENVIRONMENTAL/WORKING CONDITIONS: The work is performed in an office environment or virtually through telehealth. Adherence to any specific safety policies regarding COVID-19 is required.
EQUIPMENT USED: Computer, keyboard, telephone, printers, copy machines.

- Perform initial assessment, evaluation, & diagnosis of clients through clinical interviews and consultation with other care providers.
- Develop and periodically update treatment plans tailored to clients’ individual needs, goals, symptoms, and interpersonal dynamics.
- Services will include, but are not limited to, psychiatric medication management, health education, psychotherapy, psychedelic harm reduction from a psychiatric framework, ordering and interpretation of laboratory findings, and incorporating integrative or functional medicine approaches to support whole-person health.
- Ability or openness to learning how to administer ketamine intramuscular injections.
- Utilize a client-centered, trauma-informed approach to treatment, with attention to relational and social justice issues.
- Maintain interdisciplinary treatment through consultation and collaboration with other treatment providers.
- Provide services to clients in an ethical, legal, and professional manner and seek consultation on clinical cases as needed.
- Become acquainted with and abide by the clinic’s policies and procedures.
- Maintain up-to-date client records which facilitate review of each client's progress, and maintain all necessary paperwork and forms in EHR.
- Timely completion of administrative tasks, including billing, payment collection, calendaring, and hours tracking, and timely response to client & staff communications.
- Consistently develop professional skills and expertise by participating in continuing education opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.
- Attend bi-weekly team meetings and participate in occasional team and community building events.
