Andrea (she/they) is a bodywork practitioner with an integrative approach, dedicated to helping clients rediscover and nurture all aspects of their being. Trained in both Eastern and Western modalities, Andrea specializes in both table and floor massage, with a growing passion for exploring the connection between physical and emotional experiences through somatic practices. Her grounded and empathetic presence supports the container for her clients to deepen their connection to self.
Andrea’s approach is characterized by its slow, deep, and intentional nature. She is skilled in a variety of techniques, including Swedish, Deep Tissue, Trigger-Point Release, Shiatsu, Acupressure, Reflexology, Hot Stone, Myofascial Cupping, and Trauma-Informed Care. A significant aspect of her practice is Somatic Experiencing Bodywork, a body-centered method designed to address trauma symptoms and chronic stress. This approach combines gentle touch and somatic exercises with compassionate dialogue, helping clients gain awareness of how their bodies communicate with their minds and emotions. By focusing on sensations, posture, imagery, emotions, and personal narratives, clients can achieve greater regulation, resilience, and authenticity.
Andrea holds a BA in Social Work from UW-Milwaukee and earned her Massage License from McKinnon School of Bodywork in Oakland. Her ongoing curiosity about the complexities of the body has led her to further studies, including training in Herbalism with Phyllis Light, Somatic Experiencing with Peter Levine, and additional classes in Hakomi, Mindfulness Meditation, and Restorative Justice. A lifelong learner, Andrea is committed to self-awareness and growth. She enjoys working with those interested in exploring deeper aspects of their body-psyche, with a special focus on LGBTQIA+ individuals, teens, neurodivergent individuals, those with chronic illnesses, and those seeking relief from childhood trauma.
