Margaret Brako, LCSW

Licensed Clinical Social Worker
Margaret is passionate about helping people (re)discover their self-love and hope. She recognizes the many ways that experiences, environments, and larger societal systems impact each of us. Drawing from trauma-informed, relational, somatic, and humanistic approaches, she supports folks in breaking through false narratives about who they're "supposed to be" so they can focus on who they are. She also uses mindfulness-based practices to guide reconnection with, and feeling safe within, one's body. Therapy with Margaret involves weekly 50-minute sessions, and can occur as brief-therapy or in long-term form.

Margaret holds a Masters in Social Work from New York University. Since 2012, she has worked in community-based programs with clients ages 16-70, across various ethnicities, gender identities, and sexual orientations. Margaret trained in ketamine-assisted therapy at Sage and MDMA-assisted therapy through MAPS. She completed the Integrative Psychiatry Institute's yearlong psychedelic assisted therapy certificate program. She has also received specialized trauma-focused training through the NeuroAffective Relational Model (NARM) and The Body Keeps the Score. In addition to her work with clients, Margaret is the Associate Clinical Director at Sage and a Lead Trainer for Sage's Integral Psychedelic Therapy training program.
