Gabe Klapman, MD

Gabriel Klapman, MD, is a board-certified family physician and integrative medicine specialist
with a passion for holistic, evidence-based, and community-centered care. His clinical path spans
primary care, integrative medicine and psychiatry, and somatic and psychedelic-assisted
therapies. He brings a grounded, relational, and visionary approach to healing.

Dr. Klapman earned his medical degree with distinction from the David Geffen School of
Medicine at UCLA and completed his residency in Family Medicine at UCSF – Santa Rosa,
where he began weaving complementary and somatic modalities into conventional care. Over the
past decade, he has worked in diverse roles, from frontline community medicine to consulting on
complex chronic pain cases, and has taught and mentored clinicians in both conventional and
integrative settings.

Alongside his clinical work, Dr. Klapman has immersed himself in mind-body healing traditions
including Feldenkrais, yoga, craniosacral therapy, Buddhism, and Zero Balancing. He has
contributed to research on yoga for low back pain and body awareness in trauma recovery at
UCSF’s Osher Center, and has presented on topics ranging from end-of-life care and
neurodevelopment to somatic awareness and healing. His work in psychedelic medicine is
informed by the Certificate in Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy and Research from the California
Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS), with additional ketamine training through Polaris Insight
Center and the Ketamine Training Center.

His work is animated by a lifelong passion for the intersections of medicine, mind-body
awareness, spiritual inquiry, and social responsibility. Grounded in respect for diverse healing
traditions, Dr. Klapman brings his full self to this work, including a love of wilderness, dance,
music, and community building. His practice is guided by a deep curiosity about consciousness,
a reverence for the human spirit, and a commitment to healing at both the individual and
collective levels.
